Faith Ingulsrud | Team Leader, Instructor (she/her)

Faith is a land use planner with deep experience in municipal and state government. She most recently worked at the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development, where she supported communities around the state in their efforts to become more walkable, increase housing opportunity, avoid flood damage and improve infrastructure. A background in landscape architecture informs her interest in community design. She volunteers on the Burlington Walk Bike Council and on the Legislative Committee of the Vermont Planners Association.

Richard Watts | Coordinator (he/him)

Richard Watts is a former journalist and political campaign manager who now studies and teaches courses in journalism and public policy at the University of Vermont. Richard is the co-director of the Reporting & Documentary Storytelling Program, directs the Center for Research on Vermont, and coordinates internships for the College of Arts & Sciences.

Cate Phypers | Digital Editor (she/her)

Cate is a recent graduate of the University of Vermont. She grew up on the Northshore of Massachusetts and is passionate about making the natural world accessible for all, which starts by creating sustainable transportation systems. She currently lives in Burlington, where she enjoys the walkability of downtown.

 
 

Ace Reuschle | Intern, Fall ‘23

 Ace Reuschle is a UVM sophomore majoring in Environmental Studies and hopes to help plan sustainable cities one day. In her free time, she makes jewelry and reads bad romance books. This semester, Ace is running STVT’s social media pages.

Reid Corliss | Intern, Fall ‘23

Reid is a senior Environmental Studies major at the University of Vermont with a minor in Community and International Development.  Reid is hoping to one day go onto law school and study environmental law. He grew up in Concord, Massachusetts where he was first exposed to environmental protection and sustainable planning. Reid is passionate about creating more walkable cities and reducing urban sprawl while advocating for equitable access. Outside of academics, Reid enjoys to spend time outdoors, cook, and be with friends.

Jenna Reilly | Intern, Spring ‘23

Jenna is a sophomore here at UVM and is originally from Connecticut. She is an Environmental Studies major and is hoping to pick up a minor in agroecology soon. In her free time, she likes to hike, ski, bike, and read.

 

Ian Bailey | Intern, Spring ‘22

Ian is currently a senior at the University of Vermont that is majoring in biochemistry and minoring in geography. This semester, Ian will be a transportation coordinator for the Walk/Bike Summit that is taking place in Middlebury, Vermont this year. The goal for Ian’s internship is to discover and promote sustainable transportation options to and from this event. In conjunction, limit the number of single-number occupancy vehicles attending the event. When not on campus you can find Ian either volunteering with the Food Recovery Network, playing soccer with friends, or snowboarding the black diamonds.

Morgan Feldmann| Intern, Fall ‘22

Morgan is a junior Political Science Major at the University of Vermont with a minor in Geography. He grew up in North Carolina and believes that walkability and equitable access to transit is an integral part of any society, and is committed to advocating for those who may be affected by the unfair distribution of public services. Outside of school he enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling.

Zoe Sreden | Intern, Spring ‘22

Zoe is a sophomore Geography major with minors in Community and International Development and Global Studies. They are from Phippsburg, Maine. Despite being from a rural area they are interested in building sustainable cities and accessible cities. Zoe is currently interning with Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission helping update data indicators for their 2023 ECOS Regional Plan.

 

Victoria Peguri  | Intern, Spring ‘22

Victoria is studying Environmental Science and Spanish at the University of Vermont. She is focused on ecological design, and is interested in making Burlington a more bikeable and walkable city. This spring, she will be working to produce a 5-year progress report for the Burlington Walk Bike Council. You can find her biking, skating, and walking around Burlington in the warmer months, and bus hopping her way home when it gets chilly. She enjoys sports, music, reading, and doing anything outside in her free time!

McKenzie Kelley | Spring ‘22

McKenzie is a sophomore majoring in biology and computer science at UVM. She has a passion for working with data to solve problems and improve policy decisions. As a Vermonter, McKenzie is excited to help implement more sustainable resources in the state. Outside of school, she enjoys playing waterpolo and drinking coffee.
