Dr. Mina Sartipi, University of Chattanooga
If, as predicted, the 21st century is an urban living century, with about 2/3 of the global population living in urban environments by 2050, increased action-based, data-driven, and collaborative research with private and public partners will be required to address community challenges, directly or indirectly enabling us to improve citizens’ lives and create an environment that is livable, accessible, and healthy for all. Dr. Sartipi will reflect on a multi-part research focus on mobility (to connected vehicles and multi-modal mobility), smart healthcare, energy (anomaly detection and smart buildings), and next-generation wireless communication to increase connectivity and observability.
